The actual number of Kyrgyzstan casinos is a fact in question. As details from this state, out in the very remote interior part of Central Asia, tends to be arduous to get, this may not be too bizarre. Whether there are 2 or three authorized casinos is the thing at issue, perhaps not in fact the most consequential bit of information that we don’t have.
What will be true, as it is of most of the ex-USSR nations, and definitely accurate of those in Asia, is that there no doubt will be many more not allowed and underground gambling dens. This appears most confounding, so we can clearly conclude that the number of Kyrgyzstan’s gambling halls, at least the legal ones, ends at 2 members, 1 of them having altered their name not long ago.
The country, in common with most of the ex-USSR, has undergone something of a rapid change to free-enterprise system. The Wild East, you might say, to reference the lawless conditions of the Wild West a century and a half back.
Kyrgyzstan’s casinos are certainly worth visiting, therefore, as a piece of social analysis, to see money being gambled as a form of communal one-upmanship, the absolute consumption that Thorstein Veblen spoke about in nineteeth century u.s.a..
