There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling dens that lie just across the dividing line from neighboring Thailand, where gambling den gambling is illegal. Eight gambling halls are established in a relatively small space in the municipality of Poipet in Cambodia. This conclave of Cambodia casinos is in a perfect area, a three to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai workers and visitors from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with just a couple of Westerners. The latest Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 one armed bandits and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 slot machines and 96 table games, including 87 baccarat (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five one armed bandits and sixty six of the normal table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. An additional of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machine games and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in a comprehensive vacation and hotel complex that features a number of amenities in addition to the gambling hall, which contains 10,000 sq.ft. of 130 slots and eighty eight gaming tables.
