Many people link many distinctive elements with a Vegas holiday. many folks do envision an alcohol and gambling-filled event, while some may see a simple holiday away from home with the kids when they imagine about a vacation to Las Vegas. In the last half of the 60s and early 70s, the Vegas vacation industry really flourished. This is mostly due to the efforts to recreate the appearance of Sin City into a playground for adults.
The Vegas of that time was awash of dazzling gambling dens, big-ticket events, and lounges that never closed. You could see an event, wager all night, down a whiskey with your first meal of the day, blackout for a couple of hours prior to doing it all over again in a Las Vegas holiday during those times.
The nature of a Las Vegas vacation became something absolutely different in the early 90. Vegas gambling halls began to allure families who were vacationing together with the appearance of attractions like New York New York’s roller coaster and MGM Grand’s kid friendly surroundings.
Casino bosses recognized they could lure the all-night players and high rollers while entertaining a decidedly new patrons, the families, who bring their own money to enjoy the Las Vegas sands. As a result, kid friendly entertainment, dining rooms, and rides began to abound. Many gambling halls also offered kid play areas so the parents can still head off to drink and wager.
The current Sin City holiday is an abnormal combination between the adult and child’s playground. Guests are now able to observe roller coasters fly above gambling den floors where slots clink and whiz and roulette wheels whirl. These days, leaflets for companionship companies litter the sidewalks and ads for topless shows are shown on taxicabs next to advertisements for Backyardigans because of the legalization of harlotry in Vegas.
